Dr Steve graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 2009 where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. As former U Sports athlete and amateur athlete in combat sports, Dr Steve understands the impact of injuries on both performance and general well being. Dr Steve’s treatment focus goes beyond just pain reduction, using different treatment modalities to alleviate pain and to build resilience in the injured tissues to prevent future injury.
A typical appointment with Dr Steve involves a focused assessment, soft tissue therapies, acupuncture, and rehab exercises. After a course of treatment, depending on the injury, it is not uncommon to see Dr Steve in the gym with his patients going over strengthening exercises, progressions and regression to ensure optimal function and performance.
When Dr Steve is not “saving the world, one patient at a time”, he spends his time playing touch football, watching all things NFL, and training in mixed martial arts. Not one to neglect training his brain as well, Dr Steve also enjoys reading strength and rehabilitation articles and watching Jeopardy!
After competing in Rugby at Wilfrid Laurier University and rowing competitively at both Laurentian University and the University of Victoria, Rolland pursued a professional career in Massage Therapy. Working as a Registered Massage Therapist, Rolland has garnered clients including national track and field team members, national team rowers, top tri-sport athletes, top rock climbers, top golf professionals, NCAA and professional basketball, CIS & CFL football, ATP tennis, national level gymnasts, as well as a host of amateur sports participants. He has also worked at a variety of events such as the Canadian National Track and Field Championships, OFSAA Basketball Championships, the Canadian Masters Tennis Tournament, the Canadian Senior Men’s Soccer Championships and the ATP Roger’s Cup. Rolland is currently the staff RMT for the Toronto Argonauts & the Canadian National Men’s Ball Hockey team as well as seeing patients privately.
Danelia graduated from fitness and health promotion in 2007 and has over 10 years of experience as a personal trainer/fitness instructor. She has been working as an RMT for over 5 years. Combining both areas of work has given her a better understanding of the body’s biomechanics and structure. She treats both athletes as well as the general public.
She enjoys treating patients with all sorts of issues, using a variety of techniques and modalities in her treatments that will get each individual quick results so they can carry on with their daily activities pain free.
Her top 3 treatment modalities are deep tissue massage, trigger point release and active muscle release techniques to help increase mobility and flexibility.
She is extremely proud to have helped so many people improve their body’s function. It is very rewarding to treat patients with a wide variety of issues ranging from back, shoulder and neck pain to common conditions like fibromyalgia, arthritis, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, depression, stress etc. and seeing them progress to a healthier version of themselves after only a few massage sessions.
Danelia enjoys treating every patient, but her passion lies in patients dealing with chronic pain. This is a concern amongst many people with sedentary jobs who work for hours on end with very few breaks to stretch or get up and walk around the office. Treating this type of clientele is the most rewarding to her for the reason that after one session they can already see a difference in their posture, decrease in their stress level and an overall reduction in muscle tension.
